Filipe

This is a friend from Portugal. He likes to dive off of high places. This painting is based on an image he sent me. I loved the explosion of water behind him, and the perspective of him coming right out at you. . This is the my second painting in isolation during the corona virus. I am working on paintings in my apartment and in some ways the isolation is an interesting journey, but I get to do it with my dog Theo who is good company.

“Filipe” - This is painting two in isolation for the corona virus. This is a painting of a friend who likes to jump off of high places. He sent me this image and I wanted to paint a version of it. I was drawn to the light of the explosion of water behind him. The perspective of him coming right at you. The isolation is in some ways of having me explore colors, richness, trying new things and not caring what happens.
