This painting is inspired by a fellow artist, friend, my Yoga teacher. I photographed her hands at an opening years ago. She had these amazing rings on her hands and I really loved her hands and was painting hands at the time. I downloaded this photo of her hands and forgot about it. I found it the other day. The same day my friend that I speak of posted a painting she had done of Ganesh asking him to “COME ON !”. He is the mover of obstacles. When you look past her hands you see an elephant coming out of the darkness which is absolutely inspired by this whole virus experience and what we need right now. This painting happened because of a string of incidents that coincided. Thank you Marlene Koenig for inspiring me !
